HomeTown Remodeling – Client Reviews
We removed a shower stall and converted into a walk-in closet. We removed a corner tub and created a handicap-friendly walk-in custom tile shower with multiple shower fixtures and grab bars. We then tiled the bathroom floor.
I recently helped my grandparents (85 and 88 years old and still living on their own) obtain bids to remodel their bathroom, as they needed it to make it more handicap friendly. We interviewed three contractors and Hometown was the last of the three. As soon as they left, we knew, without a doubt, they were ones! They weren’t the cheapest, but for a little more money we received a quality job far superior to what the others suggested. More importantly, I needed someone that I could trust to NOT take advantage of my grandparents and their age. From the start, I felt very comfortable with Richard and the contractors he sent to work in their condo. Richard and Tina kept in touch with both me and my grandparents, always letting us know what to expect day-to-day.
Their work is beautiful and they don’t cut corners when it comes to quality! They removed a garden-style bathtub, the design of which would be dangerous for a person half their age, and replaced it with a huge, beautiful shower. They installed several grab bars around the perimeter of the shower and a large functional seat. They included a traditional shower head and a hand-held wand within arm’s reach. They removed the original shower and turned that area into a very functional linen closet.
The peace of mind that comes from knowing how much safer my grandparents are in this new shower is priceless. I am extremely grateful to Hometown. Everyone we dealt with was very professional and courteous, but most of all, extremely patient with my grandparents who, at their age, are easily confused.
Enjoyed the professionalism of the workers who had complete knowledge of the job. Thanks for a job well done!
